Rorschach

A sketch of the very troubled Watchmen character Rorschach. He is my favourite character of the book despite his issues. I still have to see the movie, but am afraid that I will be disappointed so I may wait for the DVD. Drawn in my Moleskine Cahier sketchbook with indigo blue Col-Erase pencil, inked with Pilot Fineliners and Sharpie markers.

Photo Friday - Huron Street Woods

In honour of spring arriving I felt like posting some flower photos. Here is a set of shots taken back in the summer of the Huron Street Woods. A lovely little oasis in Old North London.

Some lovely clouds in a beautiful blue sky. A simple shot but I really like how it turned out. Makes me think of the lovely weather on the way.

I think this was a morning glory, but I'm not certain. Still it made for a very lovely photo, whatever it was.

Contained

Another drawing inspired by an old Illustration Friday theme. This is a drawing inspired by the word 'Contained'. Drawn in my Moleskine Cahier sketchbook with indigo blue Col-Erase pencil, inked with Pilot Fineliners and Sharpie markers.

Magical Flying Rodent Thing

A sketch of a little boys encounter with a strange flying rodent. I am certain that the rodent is magical and will grant the boy three wishes. Drawn on Strathmore drawing paper with black ballpoint pen, and Sharpie markers.

Photo Friday - Downtown Windsor

A set of photos taken during an afternoon of wandering around downtown Windsor. I do so love urban decay and Windsor has that in spades. The above was taken outside of an abandoned school near the university.

A rusty water pipe outside of an empty store front. Rust can take such interesting shapes and textures. It is always a treat to shoot, and easy to find anywhere.

The sign of a very old looking and well established business. I liked the font and the aged quality of it. It looked like an interesting place and I would like to take more photos of it in the future.

Beads

A sketch of a slightly indifferent looking girl with an elaborate beaded hair ornament. I was just in the mood to draw something with a lot of beads. Drawn on Strathmore drawing paper with black ballpoint pen, and Sharpie markers.

Up In The Trees

A sketch of a girl sitting in a tree conferring with a little bird. I think I might explore this character further in the future. However I am not sure whether she is a fairy or more of an angel. Drawn on Strathmore drawing paper with black ballpoint pen, and Sharpie markers.
